TM44 Air Conditioning Inspections

In our drive to provide the very best in class energy reports to our clients, we have developed the ACE Wizard Air Conditioning Energy Inspection system. ACE offers unrivalled energy and cost impact information for the client whilst also providing increased usability for assessors.

Officially launched in April 2015, ACE Wizard is now used on approximately 25% of all TM44 Inspections carried out in the UK and typically helps firms save 15% on their annual energy consumption and emissions for the cooling and ventilation systems.

TM44 Air Conditioning Inspections

Since 2011, Air Conditioning Energy Inspections have been a legal requirement for all buildings with a cooling capacity of over 12kW.

RW Air Energy Limited are a specialist fully accredited provider of Level 3 & 4 TM44 Air Conditioning Energy Assessments. Our fully trained staff will carry out the required survey, ensure your building gains compliance, record your certificate on the government register and produce a detailed report to target energy savings.

Commercial & Domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's)

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) indicate how energy efficient a building is, with a rating from A to G, where A is very efficient and G is the least efficient.

A Domestic or Commercial EPC is required on the sale or letting of any property. RW Air Energy's fully accredited Energy Assessors can undertake the survey and produce Energy Performance Certificates and identify any improvements required to achieve the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES).

ESOS Energy Audits

The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory scheme for large organisation in the UK. The primary purpose of the assessment audit is to calculate the energy used by their buildings, industrial processes, transport and to identify cost-effective energy saving measures large organisations can adopt to reduce their carbon emissions.

Companies need to comply if they have:

  • 250 employees or more
  • An annual turnover greater than 50m euros (£44,845,000)
  • An annual balance sheet greater than 43m euros (£38,566,700).
  • You are an overseas organisation with over 250 employees in the UK
  • Your company is part of a larger organisation, which falls into any of the above

Small to medium enterprise firms and public-sector bodies are generally exempt from the ESOS scheme.

Display Energy Certificates (DEC's)

Since July 2015, a Display Energy Certificates(DEC) needs to be prominently displayed in buildings over 250m2. A DEC is required annually for public buildings and those occupied by public authorities.

The DEC and the associated Advisory Report are a legal requirement in England, Wales and Ireland. A DEC shows the energy performance of a building based on the Operational Rating on a graphical scale: from A, which is very efficient, through to G, which is the least efficient.
